About Us

Save Merriweather is a non-profit, 501(c)(4) organization committed to the preservation of the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. Specifically, our vision for Merriweather involves the continued use of the existing venue and grounds to host a wide variety of musical and other performances—from mainstream pop music to symphonies and touring theatrical productions.

In deference to its history and tradition, as well as in anticipation of its positive impact on future generations, Merriweather Post Pavilion should continue to serve as a regional entertainment center for residents of the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area and should stand as the cultural anchor of Columbia's "downtown" district. Lastly, we believe Merriweather should be operated by a company or organization concerned solely with its preservation and success.
