Development of Merriweather’s Parking Lots

The future of Merriweather is closely tied with the future of its parking lots. Save Merriweather decided in the beginning that fighting to prevent development of the lots was a losing battle and such a position would hinder our ability to work towards a reasonable solution. Instead, Save Merriweather has continually advocated for well-planned, intelligent development of the Crescent site, the common name for the parking lots. As part of this development, we believe there must be adequate parking to serve the needs of both Merriweather and the new properties. Moreover, the development should recognize the significance and drawing power of the pavilion, and if done properly, could enhance the overall Merriweather experience.
